'Afternoon Music' (ABENDMUSIK) is a series of concerts first started in the 17th century in the church of St. Mary (Marienkirche) in Lübeck, Germany, by Dieterich Buxtehude(1637 – 1707), where the concerts were held on Sunday afternoons with free admission.
The German Church of Athens revives these concerts, while becoming the first Church in Greece with an in-Residence orchestra.
